IMPORT GUIDE

Marvel Rivals stores your HUD reticle as a long numeric code. On PC you can paste a code from the popular list or the builder and skip twenty sliders. On console you still customize the same sliders — you just cannot paste.

Import a crosshair code on PC

  1. 1

    Open Settings

From the main menu or with the in-match pause menu, open Settings. You do not need to be in the practice range, but it is the fastest place to confirm the new reticle.

  2. 2

    Choose Keyboard or Controller

Crosshair settings live under your input device tab. Mouse and keyboard players use Keyboard. Controller players use Controller — the HUD sliders are the same, but Import Save is still PC-only.

  3. 3

    Go to Combat → HUD

Select Combat, then scroll to the HUD block. Reticle Save sits at the top of that list with a dropdown of your stored presets.

  4. 4

    Click Import Save

The import control is the icon beside the Reticle Save dropdown (it looks like a save / import glyph). Do not confuse it with Add New Save, which only creates an empty slot.

  5. 5

    Paste and confirm

Paste the full code string into the text field and confirm. The HUD preview in the settings menu should update immediately. If it does not, the code was truncated or your slots are full.

Export your current reticle

In the same HUD row, use the export / copy control next to Reticle Save after you have the sliders where you want them. That string is what you send to teammates or paste into the builder to keep editing outside the game.

Name your saves. A slot called "Hela dot" is much easier to recover than five copies of Default when you fill the list.

Assign a different reticle per hero

The Combat menu includes an All Heroes filter in the top-left. Leave it on All Heroes to change your global default. Open it and pick a character to store a hero-specific HUD. Imports apply to whichever filter is active, so set the hero first, then paste.

A practical split many players use: a tiny dot on hitscan duelists, a medium circle on projectile strategists, and a large ring on melee Vanguards. You do not need a unique code for every hero — three saves cover most of the roster.

Console: recreate a code with sliders

PlayStation and Xbox cannot paste reticle codes. Open the same HUD sliders and match the numbers. On this site, open a preset to see a console slider tree with Reticle Type, Width, Opacity, Center Gap, Circle Radius, Length, Angle, and Color indented the way the in-game menu groups them.

Reticle Type is the first number in a code: 1 is Circle, 2 is Crosshairs, 3 is Dot, and 4 is Circle & Crosshairs. Color presets in-game are White, Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, then Custom. If a code uses Custom, the last three numbers are red, green, and blue on a 0–1 scale.

Color and map contrast

White reticles vanish on Groot walls, Emma Frost, and bright payloads. Red disappears in Hell's Heaven interiors. Green and cyan stay visible on both warm city maps and cool sci-fi maps. The builder lets you flip the preview background between dark, warm, cool, and light before you commit.

Practice range checklist

  • Stand still and confirm the center actually sits on the dummy's head.
  • Strafe — a cross with a huge gap can feel like it is sliding off target.
  • Fire a full magazine. If animation is on, decide whether the pulse helps or hides the point of aim.
  • Swap to a second hero with a different attack type before you delete the old save.
